I'm a military historian who lives and writes in Sydney, Australia's oldest city. I've worked at the Australian War Memorial and held a fellowship at the Menzies Centre for Australian Studies in London, and I'm an honorary associate of the Centre for Historical Research at the National Museum of Australia. I'm currently writing a short book for the National Library of Australia on a New South Wales cavalry squadron that trained at Aldershot before fighting in the Boer war.
